PSYCHOTOGEN To Utilize DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Singer On Upcoming CD
February 23, 2003Baltimore-based technical death metal band PSYCHOTOGEN have parted ways with vocalist and founding member Rob Kline due to logistical differences. According to the group, "This was a difficult decision the band felt needed to be made if [we] were to continue." The remaining members went on to say: "Rob is without a doubt one of the top frontmen the death metal genre has to offer and we wish him the best in the future."
PSYCHOTOGEN are currently finishing up their second release, entitled "The Calculus of Evil", which will be distributed through the Crash Music, Inc. label. It will be engineered and recorded at IQ Studios by Ron Vento (AURORA BOREALIS),and has tentative mid-summer release date. Vocal duties on the new CD will be handled by Greg Puciato of DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN. The band will also appear at the three-day Maryland Death Fest in May.
